(more…)On July 18, 2026, in a rare patol moment, Mayor Leni Robredo publicly calls out troll Niko Perez on a Facebook post. As of July 28, 2026, 2:00 p.m., the post has garnered over 300.2K reactions.
Following this post, Senator Kiko Pangilinan and Mamamayang Liberal Representative Leila de Lima [1] [2] posted on their social media in support of Mayor Leni.
Mayor Leni did not name the politician in her post, but it is common knowledge that the aforementioned politician is none other than former Naga City Mayor and now Camarines Sur 3rd District Congressman Nelson Legacion.
Two days before the callout post, on July 16, 2026, Mayor Leni posted on Facebook [1] [2 ABS-CBN NEWS]:

Two days after the callout post, in an interview with 103.1 Brigada News FM – Naga City in her Monday press conference on July 20, 2026, Mayor Leni reveals that many legal groups have come forward to volunteer legal action in her stead against people spreading disinformation about her.
The individual behind the troll account has reportedly been identified by the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Division.
In the 2025 midterm elections, Leni Robredo wins the mayoral post in Naga City by a landslide of 91.65%. She is the first woman to ever hold the position.
