We come from different political parties. We sometimes support different candidates. We find ourselves on the opposite sides of certain issues. But, outside of work, we have maintained the deepest of friendships.

We were colleagues in the 16th Congress and were all neophytes in 2013. We bonded during the Orientation even before the very first session began. We have been through many highs and lows together.

Despite our different backgrounds and political affiliations, pag napapalaban ako, they “volt in”. Totally and unconditionally.

This weekend, they visited me in Naga. Although, we were incomplete, it was the best thing that happened after a very busy week.

How blessed I am to have friends who are willing to take a break from their very busy schedules and brave the long trip to Naga just to spend a short time with me.

Thank you, Gov Helen, Cong Ging, Mayor Marvi, Mayor AA, Cong Rani & Cong Kit. Missing the rest. (Cong Cheryl was all set to go but lost her Dad just a few days ago. Our deepest condolences)
